INFORMATON ON THE CENTURA WATER WITHDRAWAL

At the first hearing held on 30 April, the attorney for Centura Development objected to the Township’s inclusion of written public comments and petitions from area residents that predate the current application under review, which was submitted to the Township on 12 March 2013. The hearing officer has not yet ruled on the objection, but if the objection is sustained it would result in public comments and petitions pertaining to the proposed water withdrawal facility that predate the current application being stricken from the record.

 Our records indicate that you submitted written comments and/or signed petitions to the Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) or to the Board of Supervisors of Old Lycoming Township in connection with Centura Development’s application to the SRBC or with its previous Conditional Use application to Old Lycoming Township dated 15 January 2013, which was withdrawn on 22 February 2013. In order to ensure that your public comments will become a part of the record for the current Conditional Use application and hearing, I advise you to submit dated, written comments to the Township as soon as possible.
